Richard,

I am aware of that already but thank you for the link it was a good read.

When do you think the GOP became a party of small govt?

I know when they started to preach it but I have never seen any evidence of them reducing the size of the Federal Govt.

The Article is wrong on the 1913 Federal Income Tax.

In 1913 the Presidential inauguration was in March of that year and not January like it is now.

Republican Pres. Taft along with a Republican Congress got the 16th Amendment ratified by the States to make the Federal Income Tax a permanent part of American’s lives forever in February 1913 just before Wilson’s inauguration in March.

The GOP created a unconstitutional Federal Income Tax via Lincoln’s Revenue Act of 1861 and then sealed our fate in 1913.
