My Take On “Peggy Noonan: Americans Vote for Maturity”

My Take On “Peggy Noonan: Americans Vote for Maturity”

Peggy, I think you should remind readers of how enamored you were 2 years ago with Obama, how you were mesmerized by his panache and writing style, how you only ‘saw’ him but failed to ‘analyze’ him (which is quite a fumble for a political analyst to make). You’re hoping for humility from Obama, but he’s too small and arrogant to feel or show it. I’m hoping that you’re bigger than he. And quite frankly, I find it more than a little ironic that you’re self-unaware enough to call Palin a nincompoop – but if she’s so dumb, how is it that she’s not the one who got hoodwinked by Obama – you were? Sarah Palin may not be the best pick for President in 2012 (or any year), but she deserves a lot of working tax credit 2012 for breathing new life into Reagan’s masses who have missed him so much the last 20 years. She has ‘it’ and you know it. She has the gift of getting to the heart of things and giving voice to large numbers of ‘average Americans’ – as did Reagan. One of Ronald Reagan’s most endearing qualities was his innate generosity at giving credit where/when credit was due. It would be nice to see you do the same.
